iDevice docks are so common, it’s getting to be pretty annoying to write about. But every now and then we come across one that looks so darn good, we think it’s worth mentioning just for that. The Jarre AeroPad Two from designer John Michael Jarre is simply stunning. Sure, we realize that this is in the eye of the beholder, so we’re not going to get into an argument with anyone over this. And maybe the dock sounds great and has tons of features, but really, we only like the way it looks. If you must know, however, it works with any iDevice, has four 30W speakers and is made of stainless steel with chromium finishing, with bamboo accents.
Yeah, not the most exciting features. You’ll be paying $920 for looks and looks alone. But hey, for some people, that’s all that matters. It’s going to be shipping in September.

The market for iPhone docks is crowded, to say the least. Most of the ones we’ve come across simply show endless permutations of various features, but very few do anything other than being a dock. Well, if it’s going to be in the house, shouldn’t it be able to do more? Take JVC’s NX-BX3 for instance. It doubles as a little table. It’s got all the usual dock-y things, like SRS StudioSound HD and an FM tuner, but it can also be used to do a variety of other things like: putting a vase on it, putting a glass of milk on it, tossing your keys when you come home from work. The sky’s the limit, really.
We don’t know how much it’ll cost, but it will be available in Japan later this month.

Arcade machines were for a long time the only way that you could get any gaming done. Home consoles wouldn’t conquer the living room properly until the mid 80′s and for a good period from the mid 70′s onwards, Atari was pioneering the genre. Most of you don’t need the brief introduction to the company, but we’ve come across way too many teens lately who’ve shockingly never heard the name. Sadly, they won’t be able to appreciate the beauty in this docking station for the iPad, a collaboration between Discovery Bay Games and Atari. Just dock your generation 1 or 2 iPad and instantly get access to 99 games, among them classics like the original Pong, or Asteroids. Sadly, the games are not included in the $60 price. A 25 game pack is $1, while $15 gets you the whole library.
