Etsy seller paints these awesome Zelda fire renderings. They’re stretched cotton on wood and come in sizes 24×24 and 20×20. You can ask for custom sizes for an additional cost, although the standard-sized ones will set you back a lovely $150. Shipped anywhere… for a fee.

A video game doing phenomenally well is not exactly anything new. Every new release of Modern Warfare breaks the previous records it set itself. But the continued success of Angry Birds is interesting to us because it signals a robust and growing mobile gaming market, and the latest news from Rovio should quiet anyone thinking that this segment will never rival that of traditional consoles. While nowhere near MW3′s billion dollars in 16 days sprint, the Finnish company announced that in 2011 it “made a huge $106.3 million turnover and a whopping $67.6 million in profit (before tax).” It grew from 28 employees to 224 and that their three games (Angry Birds, Seasons and Rio) were downloaded a total of 648 million times. Keep in mind that this doesn’t include Angry Birds in Space, which reached 50 million downloads in 35 days. So yeah, Rovio’s minting it right now and while they can’t play with the big boys just yet, we think it’s just a matter of time until they do.

Keeping with the Space Invaders theme we set yesterday, the above ring is just superb. Made from sterling silver, the Invader Aiko ring is cast upon ordering and can take up to 6 weeks to be delivered. But dude, you’ll be rocking one sick looking ring. Totally worth the € 198 (~ $260 USD) if you ask us.

We’re geeks, and proud to be. This means a lot of things, most of which would take too long to write about in this short article. It also means that we have many things in common with other geeks worldwide. Like an appreciation for bacon. Or classic games, like Space Invaders. Matter of fact, that late 70′s icon should be shortlisted to become an official geek emblem. And whenever we see products like the above Space Invaders LED light, our heart skips a beat. It’s hand-made, out of iron, by a guy in Italy. Dimensions are as follows: Width 20cm (8 inches) X Height 120cm (47 inches) X Depth 5cm (2 inches).
We think it looks great, but sadly you’ll have to both pay and wait to get it. There’s a 2 week lead time, a cost of $200 and a shipping charge of $150. You could probably make your own out of glued-together Britelite sets, so we can’t altogether recommend a purchase.

Would you be excited if we told you that Microsoft plans to release a 4GB Xbox 360, with Kinect, for $99? Would you still be excited if we told you that it comes with strings attached? This would mean that the deal would have you sign up for a 2 year contract at $15 per month. Sure, you’d also get an Xbox Live Gold membership thrown in for the duration of the deal but if you do the math, this still works out to $460. A comparable unsubsidized package would cost you about $390, including two years of Live membership. So you’d be paying a $70 premium for the privilege of having to pay only $99 up front. Sounds great if you don’t have a big chunk of change now… expect for the fact that you’ll be locked in a contract until sometime in 2014, by which the next generation console will likely have been released. So what happens then? Will Microsoft allow you to upgrade?
There’s no word on that. It’s not even clear if all this is actually going to happen at all, but if it does, it will start rolling out at Microsoft stores next week.

If you thought Rovio was doing pretty well for itself, you’d be right. Angry Birds is already a household name, and its latest iteration and simultaneous reinvention has been quite the hit among its avid users. Rovio recently announced that the game had reached 50 million downloads, which it accomplished in 35 days, setting some kind of record. Sure, that number includes free downloads, and is across all platforms, but it’s pretty impressive all the same, especially for a game that has been around in some form or other for quite a lot of time. To thank its users, Rovio recently released 10 new levels, so in the unlikely event that you haven’t touched the game in a while, you might want to check that out.

Much has been said about Thermaltake’s Level 10 GT case since its release back in January of 2011. And now it’s gone and gotten itself a shiny new army-style paint job “to evoke the “battle” spirit of being a gamer and its true representation.” That was enough to justify a new-ish name: meet the Level 10 GT Battle Edition. It’s still the same case as before though, and if you’ve never heard of it, here’s a quick primer:
It’s a full tower SECC chassis with plenty of cooling fans, an integrated fan controller, eight drive bays, USB 3.0 support, various LED color light modes, PitsStop 5 (EasySwap HDD bays), internal Superspeed USB 3.0 ports, Quadfans, Triple Colorshift, Coolflux, S.S.S (Smart Security System), Cableclear and TripleMax.
No price has been announced for this edition, but the regular case costs around $290 so expect something in that range.

These are earrings. They look like the Chain Chomp from the Mario games. They fit normal pierced ears. They are $26 and may have been sold out already, or at the very least are on a 3-4 week backorder.
They are quite awesome, so you should buy some.
And go pierce your ears if you haven’t already done so.
You bum…
